Who, Where, When

Troop 102 is currently the only Boy Scout troop on the West end of Ventura.  We meet in the basement of the First United Methodist Church at 1338 East Santa Clara Street next to Cabrillo Middle School.  The troop is also the oldest in the city, having been founded in 1921 (please see history).

Meetings are held on most Wednesdays, starting at 7PM, and lasting an hour or a bit more, depending on the subject and so on.  There is a break at Christmas and during our time at summer camp.  We strive to have at least one outdoor activity each month and attend summer camp for a week each year.  Service to others, traditional Scout skills, vocational introductions, and visits to places of interest and learning are also part of the program.

We welcome all who are interested, with the understanding that the core principles of Scouting’s Oath and Law are our guidelines.  If you're a boy age 11, or at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, to 17 years old, the time for a real adventure is now.Interested adults do not need a scouting background, though it can be helpful, but must submit to background checks and training.  For more information, please contact Wes Fish, Scoutmaster at This email address is being protected from spambots.
